$5,000 Grants Available to Qualifying Non-Profits
Grants of up to $5,000 each will be available this spring to qualified non-profit organizations that are served by Texas-New Mexico Power.
TNMP Power Grants can be used to fund a broad variety of projects, including (but not limited to):
- community safety
- economic development
- education
- environment
Grants are available from the TNMP Fund, which is seeking innovative and creative proposals to help build vibrant communities.
Based in Lewisville, TNMP is a lines-and-poles company, serving 236,000 homes and business in Texas with power. It has about 375 employees in more than 20 communities in Texas.
“The TNMP Fund is very proud to be able to offer these first-time grants,” TNMP President Neal Walker said. “We look forward to seeing creative ideas for using these dollars to help our communities.”
Qualifying 501(c)3 organizations that are served by TNMP are eligible to apply. Maps of TNMP’s service area are available at tnmp.com/about-us/service-areas. Organizations also can look at their monthly retail electric bills to see if TNMP is listed as the transmission and distribution service provider.
